Our History
FirstDay's heritage in the Dayton area dates back to 1935, when the Dayton Ohio Teachers Federal Credit Union was organized to serve teachers in the Dayton school district. Until 1968 the credit union operated from a location on Wolf Creek Pike in Brookville. Today our field of membership has grown to include all people who live, work, worship, attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in Greene, Miami, Montgomery, or Preble Counties. We have four FirstDay branches, nearly 4,000 shared branches across the United States, and over 41,000 surcharge free ATM’s to serve you. We have grown to more than 8,000 members and more than $87,000,000 in total assets. FirstDay Federal Credit Union employs over 30 people in the Dayton area.
